Dear Mike,
I am very glad to hear that you are going to Beijing this summer vacation. As you know, there a lot of place of interests, but there are also quite a few rules and customs. As the proverb saying:'Do in Rome as Rome does.' ,so you must understand some etiquettes in order that you can understand Beijing better and better communicate with Beijiner.
First of all, you are supposed to be polite. When you have dinner at your guest home's, you must try to all the dishes. If so ,the guest will think that you enjoy this meal. Second, you should pay more attation to your behavior. As a forein traveller, your behavior represent your conntry, therefore ,you should act good manners. What's more, you could understand the background history of Beijing. Such as, the Great Wall, the Summer Palace, Forbbien City.
