used to是什么意思

1.used to表示过去的习惯性动作，过去如此，现在不再这样了。常译作“过去常常”。后面常常接动词原形。

如：He used to play basketball when he was young. 他年轻的时候常常打篮球。

There used to be an apple tree here. 过去这儿曾经有棵。

2.be used to后面可以接do，也可以接doing/名词

be used to do表示“被用来做某事”。

如：Wood is often used to make desks and chairs. 木头常常被用来制作桌椅。

be used to doing /n. 表示“习惯于”某一客观事实或状态，不强调动作，to是介词，后面接名词或。

如：She is not used to eating Chinese food. 她不习惯吃中餐。

二、使用情况：

used to一般用于描述过去一直持续做某事，然而现在不做了。而be used to则表示习惯于做某事(坚持不懈哦)

used to+。如：I used to go to bed late,but now I don't.我过去上床很晚，现在不这样了。

be used to+doing 或者 be used to be sth。如：I am used to playing basketball.我习惯打篮球。
