长期从事凝聚态理论研究,在电子输运理论、低维受限的量子系统和超导理论等方面做出一系列有创新意义的工作。发展了非平衡统计算子理论,正确处理半导体热电子的输运问题,修正了国际上长期沿用理论方案的缺陷;发展了具有多谷能带结构半导体的热电子输运理论;在掺杂锰钙钛矿氧化物的庞磁电阻机理研究中合作提出双交换机制和非磁无序相结合的理论模型,运用单参数标度理论计算扩散态和局域态迁移率边,解释实验结果;发展了磁多层结构和磁颗粒系统的解析输运理论,正确计算了巨磁电阻的角度依赖性和随颗粒尺度的变化。
长期从事凝聚态物理的理论研究,在量子输运和自旋输运理论、磁性纳米结构和巨磁电阻、半导体的热电子输运、以及超导和磁性理论等方面做出系列的创新成果。在SCI学术期刊上发表论文二百篇,包括在美国的“物理评论”上八十二篇和“物理评论快报”上八篇,研究成果被一千多篇学术论文引用。《自旋输运和巨磁电阻理论》项目获2002年度国家自然科学二等奖,还曾获得国家教育部和江苏省科技进步一等奖两项,二等奖两项。 近年来在SCI学术期刊上发表论文280多篇,其中包括在美国的《物理评论》(Physical Review)上98篇,《物理评论快报》(Physical Review Letters)上10篇,研究成果被SCI学术期刊上一千五百多篇论著他引。
