与矮柳差不多高的矮个子树，还有生长在北极圈附近高山上的矮北极桦，据说那里的蘑菇，长得比矮北极桦还要高。 高山植物为什么长不高呢？因为那里的温度极低，空气稀薄，风又大，阳光直射，所以，只有那些矮小的植物，才能适应这种环境。
