短语和词组到底是不是一回事？
我认为是一回事的.
Phrase---A group of grammatically connected words within a sentence翻译出来就是词组,短语或是片语,也就是说没有主语或是谓语,如: in a hurry, over the rainbow, fall in love...
Phrase的种类:
Prepositional phrase介词短语 (PP) with a preposition as head (e.g. in love, over the rainbow). Languages that use postpositions instead have postpositional phrases. The two types are sometimes commonly referred to as adpositional phrases.
Noun phrase (NP)名词短语 with a noun as head (e.g. the black cat, a cat on the mat)
Verb phrase (VP)动词短语 with a verb as head (e.g. eat cheese, jump up and down)
Adjectival phrase 形容词短语with an adjective as head (e.g. full of toys)
Adverbial phrase副词短语 with adverb as head (e.g. very carefully)
简单的英语结构就是:letters-----words----phrases----simple sentences---compound sentences

词组是group ， 短语是phrase ，在英文里面性质不一样呢
它们做为句子的成分就不同。
it is best to check your grammar book
group fo words like eg.. red-faced
and phrase- over the edge
are used in different situations
eg.. She was red-faced about the results. group of words used
this is different from phrase
phrase- you need to remember them...
eg.. She was over the edge in terms of bearing his nonsense any longer..

我个人认为，词组和短语没有明显的区别。
我们有时候说动词词组，也有时说动词短语。类似的还有介词短语，也可说成动词词组。 只不过多说成短语。但是词组范围更广一些，有名词词组，形容词组，凡是两个以上的词放在一起就是词组。不要去细分析，细追究啦！

短语是指固定词搭配形式不可改变，
词组指词的组合，要根据时态，人称， 格的要求有相应变化
