i am writing to tell you about sth这个就是主句，about后面的宾主是discussion告诉一个最近的讨论。讨论后面的从句our class have had是修饰这个讨论的，也是一个完整的成份。“我们讨论的一个事”，什么事呢？后面on，关于就说了"whether---"这里是一个完整的句子，就是说明这个讨论的主题。总的来说就是一直套，但是每一个成份都是完整的句子所以就显的有点长。前面应该是tell不是telling。
