怎样平衡工作与学习之间的关系?英语作文

如题所述

Just the thought of juggling work and study can be daunting - and that's before you've started searching for the right course and some funding to help ease the financial burden.

Don't, by the way, pin your hopes on the latter. While the government seems terribly keen to get people learning, it doesn't seem as keen on helping out those who want to do so on a part-time basis. There is help available, but full-time students seem to get the better deal.

But if you want to change career, missed out on the opportunity to study after school, or just want to satisfy a hunger to learn, it is possible to fit your course round the other demands of your life - and you should find it's rewarding too. Other students have.

For many people, combining study and work means they will be studying as a mature student. This has its pros and its cons - particularly if everyone else on the course is straight out of school.

Matters can get more complicated if you have a family to look after too. This is the case for our reader Nicki Hodges, who combines working part-time with full-time study and three kids. To make things easier you may be eligible for some childcare costs, and your university might have a nursery or crèche you can use.

believe that competition is a preferred means of participating in sports and activities on today’s world. I believe that without competition, people would greatly miss out on life lessons that only competition can teach us in sports. The negative in competition in which is people can deter from it, is actually a necessary life lesson. In life we will be meet with an obstacle in life that deters us or scares us, it is up to us to decide to conquer our fears. When we compete in a competition that makes us feel uncomfortable or nervous, everyone thinks of quitting or backing out. However when we decide to stay and not back down, people grow a “backbone” which is needed throughout life and not just in sports.

An example of how competition can grow the person is wrestling. Before matches, most wrestlers are nervous and afraid. However once they step onto the mat and prepare for the match, they begin to gain confidence in themselves and grow beyond sports. In the match the person learns to fight mentally to not surrender when things are difficult. The more the person wins the more they gain confidence in themselves. If the person was to lose the match, as long as they know that they performed to the best of their ability, they can gracefully accept the defeat.

If we only focused on cooperation in sports, people would not be pushed to their breaking point where they must choose to do the hard right over the easy wrong. If every person was just awarded for cooperating in activities such as sport, people would lose mental toughness along the way due to not being pushed hard enough.

Another great example is Boot Camp in the Military. If they let you just cooperate in basic training and not make you compete, people would not learn how to give everything to win and succeed. This would greatly hurt our society and our armed forces as soldiers would no longer be mentally strong enough act in wartime.
