影片讲述的是：
一位英俊潇洒球技一流的高中生迈克，放弃了得到全额奖学金上大学的机会去承当了一种叫父亲的责任。在美好的前途与过早的婚姻之间，麦克选择了后者。但经过二十年的打拼，麦克还未能创出一片天地，仅仅在公司里做个普通的职员，苦苦经营的婚姻却变得支离破碎，不断沉积的矛盾早就不可调解，最后闹到了离婚的地步，甚至自己的子女也对自己非常不理解，他难于接受这个现实，不止一次抱怨道：“如果我是七岁的时候不是选择结婚，那我的人生······”
一个偶然的机会，麦克调入了巨大的时光旋涡里，他的肉体会到了十七岁，其他一却都不变。迈克重新做回了一个高中生，开始用另一种角度看待身边、看待自己。他发现自己其实并没有完全做到理解自己的妻子和儿女，于是他选择了理解选择了补救！
迈克帮自己的儿子建立了自信，并传授给女儿正确的恋爱观。从一个失败父亲的角色里跳了出来，最后打动了妻子挽回了婚姻。
原来，我们常常会被生活的繁琐所迷惑，在不知不觉中迷失了自己，从而酿造了一个又一个让人后悔让人愧疚的错误。
尽管迈克回到了过去，但当他在再次站在人生的三岔口时，他还是做出了和以前一样的抉择。可见我们不满的往往不是我们走哪一条路，而是我们没有走好那条路！
所以当面对生活的困境时，我们要学会换个角度看人生。我们应该从过去中吸取经验，然后面对现实，少抱怨，珍惜现在，让明天因为今天的努力而感到骄傲而不是遗憾。

Michael is a handsome and football skilled high school student, who gives up the chance of going to the university with full scholarship, and takes on the responsibility of being a father. Facing with the perfect future and earlier marriage, Michael chooses the later. Michael becomes a high school student again, and begins to observe the people around him and himself with another view. He finds that he didn't absolutely understand his wife and children. So he decides to chooe understanding and remedy.
Michael helps his son to set up confidence, and teaches his daughter the right love view. He jumps out from the failing role of father, moves his wife and retrieve their marriage.
In fact, we know that what we are unsatisfied with is that we cannot go on the way chosen by ourselves very well, not which way we have chosen.
Though Michael comes back to the past, he still makes the same choice as before when he stands at his life crossroad.
Therefore, facing with the difficulties in our life, we should learn to live in another way. We should gain experience from the past, face with the reality, complaint less and treasure what we own today. Tomorrow we will be satisfied with today’s efforts and won’t regret.
