I have visited the Three Gorges Dam with my family recently.And I was deeply impressed by the greatness of it.
The Three Gorges Dam was located in Hubei Province, regarded as one of the greatest projects on the globe.As is known to the whole world, it has been generating power,protecting the environment from being ruined by floods,from which people have benefited a great deal.
Thanks a lot to those who had to leave their hometowns whith their homes buried under water to make a way out for the Dam. They sacrificed their own interest for more people and we should be always appreciated to them for their kindness.
The visit not only made me relaxed but brought about some knowledge as well.I am determined to make great contributions to the society when I grow up.Some day in the future, probably I can do something useful for our country.And for the sake, I must go all out right now.

I have visited the Three Gorges Dam with my family recently. The dam is located in Hubei Province. It is one of the greatest dams in the world. It is a well-known project not only in China, but also the world.
The dam is built for several reasons. First of all, the water through the dam can be used to produce electricity for millions of people. Second, it is an effective way to control the water speed in Changjiang river, in case of flood or drought. Third, it also do help to improve the environment.
Besides these reasons mentioned above, the Gorges Dam is a beautiful place to be visit. Thousands of visitors go there everyday, include middle students just like me. I have learned a lot of knowledge by visiting the dam. What's more, I enjoyed the gorgeous scenery and the amazing dam.
