第一句是分词短语作状语= Because the teacher was satisfied with what he did , he...
第二句不能用过去分词。如要用的话，只能在被动语态中，如：
If I was given more time, I would do it better.= Given more time, I....

语法上都是正确的。。。。一般用第二种
