因为“全国英语演讲比赛”活动将在我校展开，将有选自全国的200多名学生参赛，以及著名的英语教授参评。所以学校向学生全面招聘一名临时记者。我就想去应聘记者这个职务，原因有以下几点：
1、是一次很好的学习机会，可以更好的锻炼自己
2、采访邀请到会的教授是一种挑战和机遇
3、可以更多的了解比赛，以便日后自己参加。

As the next National English Speech Competition will be held on our campus, more than 200 students from all the other places of our country will come to participate the event. Several well known English professors will also be invited to be the referees in the competition. Our school has decided to employ a temporary reporter for the event and all the students are welcome to apply for the job. I am very interested in the work for the following reasons:
The reporter job for me will be
A good opportunity to learn from others, a good opportunity to achieve some work experience;
A good opportunity and challenge to make interviews to the professors;
A good opportunity to familiar myself with the competition and to lay a solid foundation for me to participate it in the future.
