Subjunctive Mood 虚拟语气

1. if引导的 非真实条件句
从句 主句
1> 与现在事实
相反的假设 过去式 (were) would /could /might+ V

2> 与过去事实
相反的假设 had+过去分词 would/could/might+have+过去分词

3> 与将来事实
相反或将来 过去式 (were)
实现的可能 were to + V would / could / might +V
性很小的假设 should +V

2. 谓语动词用 “( should ) + 动词原形”
1) 表示建议、命令、要求、请求、愿望等的宾从中
[suggest, order, propose, demand , require, advice, intend, command, request, desire, insist]
e.g. I suggested that he ( should ) refuse the offer proposed by that company.
2) It + be + suggested / demand + that … (主从)
3) It is + important / necessary + that …
4) suggestion, proposal 引导的同位语/表语从句
5) lest, for fear that, in case引导的从句

3. as if , as though, wish, would rather, if only + 从句
( 与现在事实相反, 谓语动词用过去式)
( 与过去事实相反, 谓语动词用过去完成时)

4. It is high / about / good time + 从句（从句的谓语动词用过去式）
1) I think it is high time we took strict measure to stop pollution.
2) It is high time you told the truth.
3) It is time the children went to bed.

5. 介词短语引导的虚拟语气

省略if的虚拟条件句倒装 ( were, had ,should )
1) If I were in your position, I would go.
-----Were I in your position, I would go.
2) If the expert had not helped us, our experiment would have failed.
---- Had the expert not helped us, …
3) If there should be an earthquake, what should we do?
----- Should there be an earthquake, … ?
