require的用法5种

require是动词词性，通常用于及物动词和不及物动词，有需要，要求，命令，规定，想要等含义。也可引导宾语从句。

①. require sth需要,依靠
These pets require a lot of care and attention.
这些宠物需要悉心照顾。
②. require sb to do sth要求某人做某事
At the beginning of the new term, all students will be required to take a short test.

③. require doing sth需要做某事
This book is required reading for this course.
这本书是这本课程的指定读物。

④. require that+从句需要,要求
在require引导的宾语从句中,谓语动词用 “should+动词原形” ,should可省略。
The situation required that he (should) be present.
这种情形需要他在场。

⑤require+名词主动或不定式被动These temples require repairing nextmonth. = These temples require to be repaired next month.这些庙宇下个月需要修缮。
