Qu-yuan was born around two thousand years ago in China.The emperor always took his advice.However,the emperor died and the new emperor didn't likelistening Qu-yuan.Qu-yuan finally lost his job.
Qu-yuan was good at writing poems.He became a famous poet.But he was always sad because the new emperor didn't take his advice and the country losta battle.
Qu-yuan jumped into a river and lost his life.Nowadays,people eat rice dumplings and have Dragon Boat races to celebrate this festival.
