How meaningful the two pictures are showing in sight! In the first cartoon, the boy with smile on the left, wearing a dear jacket, is holding a 100 Yuan note in his hand saying that it is from father, which makes the other wide-eyed. On the contrary, in the second cartoon, the other boy on the right, in poor clothes, carrying an exam paper of full marks (100 points) and says to his classmate that it is to his father. Of course, he loses his head with a blank examination paper.
These drawings do reflect a thought-provoking phenomenon which is not uncommon in China now. On the one hand, some students from affluent families lead/live a comfortable live and can enjoy a variety of entertainments while they have a poor ability in their study or job. On the other hand, the poor are inferior in money but superior in spirit. They often distinguish themselves in study or work.
In my apprehension, people in the society should focus their attention on their personal improvement and make great effort to contribute more to our country instead of being enthusiastic in material wealth.
