关于and not=rather than的问题

后面跟to还是to do?

I would stay rather than leave.=I would rather stay than leave.
=I would stay and I would not leave.
would rather...than...
would...rather than...
rather than后面是接动词原形do的

I prefer to go on foot rather than by bike.
=I prefer to go on foot and I don't prefer to go by bike.

I like eating at home rather than in a restaurant
=I like eating at home and I don't like eating in a restaurant.
