Once one of my friend in United States was in an evening class. There were two black people sitting behind him. After class, he tried to call his friend in Chinese. During his conversation with his friend, he accidently said something like "nage, nage（那个，那个）". The black men behind him misheard his pronounciation to "nigger（黑鬼）", which is very insulting to black people. So they got very mad and about to beat my friend up. Fortunately no one got hurt in the end
