正：He refused to discuss the matter.
2. 其后接动词时，用动名词(不用不定式)。如：

注：其后虽不接不定式，但可接“疑问词＋不定式”。比较：

3. 其后可接 whether 引导的宾语从句，但一般不接 if引导的宾语从句。如：
