第一篇:

Gentlemen,

I would like to report to you a matter, that my subordinate Bob has left the laptop on train on his way home, and he has contacted the railway station for this omission, but it is not that likely to get it back. Bob has wrote me a letter to explain the entire details, I will update you latter.

Best Regards,
Jack

第二篇:

According to the diagram, we can know more about the unemployment trend of US, EU and Japan from 1950 to 1995. During the past 45 years, the unemployment rate of Japan had presented a stable curve with an approximate value 2% and despite those two oil price shocks, that indicates, in this period, the economy and employment of Japan were in a prime time as well as not subject to the international oil price. On the contrary, the unemployment curve of US exhibited to us a more variable status, which had a distribution with a maximum more than 8% and a minimum less than 4%, and remarkably, after those two oil price shocks on both 1975 and 1980, US unemployment rate rocketed twice on the two crisis years. All of these, showed that the economy and employment of US were changeful and especially subject to the international oil price. For EU's curve, we can see it is also stable as Japan before the first oil price shock, however, being attacked by the shock, the unemployment rate of EU rocketed just like US from 1975, and this increase had even been continueing untill 1985. In a sense, the economy and employment of EU largely depended on international environment and difficultly recovered once being in winter.

In the 1950s, the unemployment rates in the U.S and Europe was about 5%, which is higher than that, 2% in Japan, an emerging economy after World War II.
In the next few decades, the unemployment rates in U.S retained in a high level and reached as high as 8% in 1960 due to the economic recessions. In contrast, EU and Japan attained a lower unemployment rate, which is 3% and 2% respectively in the same period.
During 1973 and 1979, the price of crude oil in the global market skyrocketed from 3 US dollar per barrel to 35 US dollar because of the first and second oil crisis resulted from Mid-East. Moreover, the crisis made it more difficult for the American and European to find jobs. According to some statistics released by the U.S federal government, the unemployment rate in U.S reached 8%. The unemployment rate in Europe was also very high, which is 11%. and it took years afterwards to recover. In vast contrast, the Orientals were unaffected, and the rate only increased slightly.
By the end of 1990s, the unemployment rates in US, Europian Union and Japan were 5%, 10% and 2%, respectively.

因为我对经济历史不太了解,内容有限,但我尽了全力。如果有不完美的方面,深表歉意
In the 1950s, the US and Europian Union had unemployment rates of about 5%, while the unemployment rate in Japan, a fast-growing economy after the second World War, was less than 2%.
In the following few decades, due to economic expansions and recessions, which makes the business cycle, the unemployment rate in US fluctuated and went as high as 8% in 1960. Meanwhile, the unemployment rate in EU and Japan was low at 3% and 2% respectively and had little fluctuations.
However, in the years between 1973 and 1979, the first and second oil crisis in Middle-East skyrocketed crude oil price from US$3 per barrel to over US$35 per barrel. This sharp increase in the crude oil price directly affected the economies of US and EU and caused recession in the Western world. As a result, the unemployment rate in US and EU increased to 8% and 11% respectively, and it took years afterwards to recover. In vast contrast, the Orientals were unaffected, and the rate only increased slightly.
By the end of 1990s, the unemployment rates in US, Europian Union and Japan were 5%, 10% and 2%, respectively.
