facing在句中作状语与be faced with 能互换吗
不可以互换。特别是当它们同时存在于状语从句中。比较：
We should keep calm when facing the difficulties.
We should keep calm when the difficult situation facing us.
We should keep calm when we are faced with difficulties.
这3个句子都是在说：在面临困难的时候，要保持冷静。
注意：1）facing 前面因为存在逻辑主语，可以省去we 和are
但是are faced with 就不能省去we 这个主语，因为有are这个be动词的存在。
2）facing 前面有表示人所面临事物的名词，如：condition 条件、状态，situation状况， 因为它们的出现，才使facing能以分词的形式出现，具有主动语态的特征。而are faced with 前面只能是人。

Something faces somebody.
Somebody faces something.
Somebody is faced with something.
也就是说，face作动词，主语可以是人或者物，主语和宾语可以互换，无须用被动，这种情况在英语里是特殊的。如：
The problem which I face is which college to enter.

The problem which I am faced with is which college to enter.
当然，如果句子已有，face以非谓语形式出现时，就可以用facing和facerd with.
