英语中的非谓语动词问题This lead to herders further increasing their herds to maintain their income.这里为什么用increasing而不用increase,是做定语修饰herder吗？那又为什么不用increased呢？
其实to后面整一句是动名词短语作lead to 的宾语. 词组lead to 的to是一个介词，后面需要跟名词性质的词或者句子, 又因为该名词句子中herders是主语，谓语是increase, 后面有宾语their herders, 所以用increasing代表这是一个名词性质的句子作宾语。追问
increasing .....是做什么成分？不是herder 的定语吗？
