但因为既有吃也有喝,习惯用法是have,e.g. have dinner, 但也有(少数)用eat的, e.g. eat lunch

The New Oxford Dictionary of English"1998年版, 里面eat有一个意思就是“have(a meal)". We ate dinner in a noisy cafe."

We usually eat at seven", "Do you want to eat at Musso's Restaurant before the movie?"

I didn't have my lunch yet/I didn't eat my lunch yet或者是I just had an apple/I just ate an apple.

have lunch。
不能说 have an apple只能说 eat an apple。
