October 1st is the national day of our country. This year, we have a golden week holiday for eight days. Besides, according to the new rules, all highways of our country are free of charge during the eight-day holiday. Therefore, many people choose self-driving tour, which expects to save much money. However, during these days we can see that the situation is not as good as expected.
Because of the huge traffic flow, tens of thousands of people catch traffic jam in highways, which rarely happened in the past. Besides, when they get to the destination, they find that they are crowed with people, which makes their trip worse. From TV or Internet, we can see that visitors of most famous scenic spots are far more than the maximum capacity.
Some people even fight with others. In addition, from this holiday, we can see many issues existing in the management of scenic spot. The managers do not do good preparation of this holiday, and their attitude towards visitors should be changed, especially those famous tourist attraction.
Therefore, many changes and improvements are expected to happen after this week, from our government to visitors.

On December 2, 1949, the fourth meeting of the Central People's Government Committee accepted the proposal of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and passed the Resolution on the National Day of the People's Republic of China. It was decided that October 1 each year, the great day when the People's Republic of China was proclaimed, would be the National Day of the People's Republic of China.

After the founding of the People's Republic of China on October 1, 1949, the celebration of National Day has changed several times.

In the early days of the founding of New China (1950-1959), large-scale celebrations and military parades were held on the National Day every year. In September 1960, the CPC Central Committee and the State Council decided to reform the National Day system based on the principle of thrift and hard work. Since then, from 1960 to 1970, every National Day held a grand rally and mass parade in front of Tiananmen Square, but no military parade was held.

From 1971 to 1983, on October 1 of each year, Beijing celebrated National Day with large-scale garden parties and other forms, without mass demonstrations. In 1984, the 35th anniversary of the National Day was marked by a grand national day parade and mass celebrations. In the following ten years or so, other forms were adopted to celebrate the national day, and no national day parade or mass parade was held. On October 1, 1999, the 50th anniversary of the national day, a grand national day parade and mass celebration parade were held. This is the last grand national day celebration held by the people's Republic of China in the 20th century.
