这是另外一首英文歌的歌词，也用了这句话，楼主可以再看看张国荣的《我》的国语和粤语歌词，体会一下这两者的区别。

我们从学校里学到的语法就像字典里看到的词语解释一样，是语言学家总结出的，换言之，先有语言的使用，后根据这些使用总结出语法。而学校里学的只是语法最根基的东西，什么是根基以为的语法呢，其实就是规则之外的例外。

这个地方，需要跟宾语从句（或者用中式语法说，表语从句），这一点，who和what都可以，问题是，what能不能引导表示“人”的从句？那么你看一下这三个歌词，“最荣幸是谁都是造物者的光荣”，“神造世人 种种色色都有他公允”“我是甚么 是万世沙砾当中一颗。石头大这么多 感激天生这个我”“我就是我 是颜色不一样的烟火，天空开阔 要做最坚强的泡沫”，还有上面的“I am my own special creation ”这些歌词都超越了“人”作为社会人的身份，而着重于他们天地之间一个独一无二的个体，这样的思想。

张国荣的《我》是他给林夕的命题作文，开头第一句必须是‘I am what I am’，这句话在英语使用中其实很常见，英文中也有修辞，明喻暗喻等等，各种说法未必符合你在学校学的语法，学习英语最王道的方法，其实不是去深究语法东西，因为你会发现，只要是一个约定俗成的说法，语法书上肯定会为它做出解释，去背这些“例外”是舍本求末。正确的方法是，你看一个英语是母语的人（布什这种除外），他这么说了，你也可以这么说，这样不断积累。
