“ring up”和“call up”的区别是什么？

call up =美式英语；ring up =英式英语。

call up为美式英语；ring up为英式英语。打电话用call就直接是call me,用ring up的话，应该用ring me up，因为代词应该放中间。

call up的用法：

当是“给......打电话”的意思时：

I called up my father and told him the news.

当是“使回忆起（往事）”的意思时：

Your letter called up the days when we worked together fifteen years ago.

They were called up right at the beginning of the war.

ring up的用法：

1.把(售货金额)记入现金收入记录机：

The bill came to $60,but the salesgirl rang up $90 by mistake.

2.鸣铃启幕：

The curtain was rung up on a new epoch in world history.

世界历史上一个新纪元的序幕揭开了。
