American education system always emphasizes creative, out-of-box thinking and imagination. And teachers not only teach students the knowledge and traditional way of thinking in the classroom, but also encourage them to think differently and to be creative at the very early age. Therefore, students usually don not just follow what the authorities say. If they think their own thoughts are reasonable, they would challenge the authorities who hold a different view. In this way, when these students grow up, many of them become really good thinkers and scientists who have logical and wild imaginations, and at the same time dare to challenge authorities in their scientific fields, and eager to discover or create new and better things for the society.
American research scheme is mature and very supportive to researchers.
