摘 要 教师专业发展是教师自身成长的过程，教师专业发展主要涉及教师的专业知识、专业能力和专业品质三个层面。我在仔细阐述这几个层面的基础上，分析了教师形象和教师专业发展的内在关系，通过调查问卷了解学生心目中理想的教师形象：学识渊博、关爱学生，宽容大度等等，以此提出理想教师形象对教师专业发展的启示：树立新型的教师形象，包括树立正确的学生观，打破传统的教育理念、转变传统的教师观；改革师范教育；加强在职培训；树立终身学习的教育观念；规范制度，建立评价机制。
