1 宾语从句 主句一般过去式，从句也要一般过去式
2 wanted是谓语，这是过去式，to 后面的是show 因为want to do是固定搭配，这里跟是太无关
3 during the trip 是时间状语，再说后面是名词如何用过去时呢？
4 前面是过去式，and 连接并列成分，所以后面也要过去式，这个跟3句关系不大
