简洁是简洁了啊。 但是没有说出这individuals是做什么的啊

英语里关键是说出主语，和主语做什么，其他自己恰当的修饰一下。就说得清楚了。
所以我在后面才把那些又重复一次，因为前面也没有突出主语

因为括号里,不仅仅以个人为单位,实际上是个省略句,全句是"不仅仅以个人为单位来研究"
所以我想最简单应该是这样了.
再少会有歧义了
